About Amelia

Amelia has been a personal trainer now for the last 9 years. She specializes in weightloss, muscle building, sport specific, prenatal/postnatal, injury corrective and general fitness. She has an associates degree in culinary arts, plus multiple certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

As a graduate from Johnson and Wales University, she started out as an executive chef for Eurest corporate dining. Growing up with a love for fitness, she realized after 5 years as a chef that it wasn’t the right fit for her. She became certified through NASM and started working for Lifetime Fitness in 2014 as a personal trainer. There she discovered her love for developing a more personal relationship with people- their goals, struggles, triumphs, both physical and mental. She decided to take ownership of her business and go private in 2017 and hasn’t looked back!

Amelia has exclusively been training ever since out of her extensive, fully equipped home gym or will travel to her client’s preferred destination. Her home gym currently includes an assortment of cardio equipment, cable machine, weights, squat rack, kettlebells, bands, and recently- a Lagree Pilates reformer.

Amelia believes whole heartedly in the importance of maintaining your physical health regardless of your situations physically or life related. As a busy wife and mother to her 2 year old son and four dogs, she knows how important it is to maintain your health in order to keep up with life- let alone just feel better in general and prevent future health issues.

She has recently worked with several clients who are dealing with neck, back and hip issues, mostly all related to a sedentary career or lifestyle. Her main focus is to bring back functional fitness and create a better overall quality of life.

Her Background

Amelia also has years of experience as an avid equestrian and has trained several of her horseback riding trainers over the years to better their strength and abilities as competitive equestrians. She currently takes riding lessons and is constantly humbled by the amount of strength, balance, and patience it requires.

As a recent executive chef plus culinary graduate, Amelia has years of experience in the culinary world. She also had her own successful private meal prep and delivery business from 2017-2021 and from that gained a very thorough knowledge of creating health-conscious and balanced meals. With her training programs, all nutrition guidance is included. She will help you calculate what macros and calories are appropriate for you and provide any and all advice as far as supplements, recipes, meal and snack ideas, etc.

Amelia has worked with clients through their entire pregnancies and their postpartum journeys as well. Going through a pregnancy herself as an older mom, Amelia first-hand knows the importance of prioritizing your health and nutrition and how that can impact not only your pregnancy experience but your labor and delivery as well. There are so many things that are out of our hands when it comes to having a baby, but your health can at least be something you can control.
